Front-desk guard duties

The front desk is often the first point of contact for a guest. Tell us which entrance is used, when the desk needs coverage and where visitors should be directed. Discuss the role of the guard alongside your own staff. A clear brief helps define which questions go to the guard and which need to go to the building’s contact person.

Visitor sign-in and key control

Guard duties can include visitor sign-in and key control. Explain the process already used at the site, who can approve access and how questions should be handled. A guard needs agreed instructions for the post rather than assumptions about who belongs in the building. Keep visitor records, staff lists and key details out of the public quote form; share only the general service need at this stage.

Opening and lock-up rounds

Some buildings need attention before staff arrive or after the last group leaves. We can discuss opening and lock-up rounds as part of the guard duties.
